This is a cultural and artistic festival enjoyed by citizens to inherit and develop the achievements and spirit of Seongho Yi Ik, a prominent figure of Ansan who spent his entire life in Cheomseongchon (present-day Il-dong) developing useful and effective scholarship through Silhak philosophy with a spirit of seeking truth from facts. Starting with a traditional Confucian-style memorial ceremony held at the shrine of Yi Ik, the festival offers a diverse range of sights and activities, including Ansan City local cultural heritage performances (Dunbaemi Nori, Wari Pungmul Nori), various traditional cultural and artistic performances, folk game experiences, Samduhoe experiences imbued with the spirit of Silhak, and unique local traditional experience booths. Furthermore, the Seongho Drawing Contest and Silhak Golden Bell, in which children and teenagers participate, demonstrate that this is a festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy. Additionally, through panel exhibitions on Seongho's philosophy and special lectures in conjunction with the Seongho Museum, visitors can experience Seongho Yi Ik's spirit of love for the people and his philosophy of seeking truth from facts, as well as the history, culture, and arts of Ansan.
