The Seoul International Book Fair is a joyful book festival where bookmakers, readers, authors, scholars, artists, editors, and readers gather to share knowledge and information. Celebrating its 68th edition this year, the Seoul International Book Fair began as an education expo in 1947 and was elevated to an international book fair in 1995, growing into a festival for exchanging books and culture as well as a center for diplomacy and trade. Since then, alongside the growth of Korea's culture, arts, and academia, it has established itself as one of Asia's leading book fairs, introducing Korean books and culture to the world as the country's largest book festival. In addition to operating booths for publishers from around the globe and running programs such as exhibitions and lectures, the Seoul International Book Fair manages Korean pavilions at international book fairs and hosts guest country events.
