2026 Gyechon Classic Festival

The Gyechon Classic Festival is Korea's leading outdoor classical music festival, held annually in Gyechon-ri, Bangnim-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. It is hosted by the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation, organized by the Korea National University of Arts, and co-sponsored by Pyeongchang-gun. The festival consists of the Starlight Concert, Sunshine Concert, and Moonlight Concert. Every year, outstanding artists participate to fill the entire village of Gyechon with music. The Gyechon Starlight Orchestra, known as Korea's "El Sistema," features the entire student body of Gyechon Elementary School as members and adds a touching element by taking on the opening stage of the festival. Marking its 12th edition in 2026, the Gyechon Classic Festival will be held from June 5 (Fri) to June 7 (Sun), 2026, at Gyechon Classic Park and Gyechon Romance Park.
