Yeoju Heungcheon Namhangang Cherry Blossom Festival

The Yeoju Heungcheon Namhangang Cherry Blossom Festival, a representative spring festival of Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, will unfold spectacularly along the Namhangang River, which boasts breathtaking natural scenery. This area, long cherished and known as "Yeogang-gil," is a place where dazzling cherry blossom tunnels create a magnificent spectacle every spring. In particular, the area around Gwibaek-ri in Heungcheon-myeon, the center of the festival, will be operated as a "vehicle-free street" during the event, allowing visitors to safely and leisurely enjoy the atmosphere of the cherry blossoms. During the day, visitors can enjoy a bright cherry blossom-themed walking path, while at night, a "Night Starlight Road" featuring soft lighting is created to offer the romantic charm of cherry blossoms at night. Various photo zones for capturing memorable shots and special stage performances to liven up the festival atmosphere will be set up throughout the venue. In addition, various hands-on programs for the whole family, stalls selling fresh agricultural products from Yeoju, and delicious food booths—recognizing that "even the most beautiful scenery is best enjoyed after a meal"—will be in operation, promising a bountiful spring feast that satisfies all five senses.
