The Mulgeum Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually from late March to early April during the blooming season to create a family healing festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy, centered around Hwangsan Park—the largest waterfront park along the Nakdong River—and the cherry blossom path running along the Mulgeum Station railway line, while also revitalizing local businesses. As the festival, which began on a small scale led by the residents of Mulgeum-eup, has expanded in scale, it has been held as the city's representative festival since 2024. The festival features a diverse array of exhibitions, hands-on programs, and outdoor rest areas throughout the Hwangsan Park area, which stretches along the Nakdong River, as well as along the cherry blossom path. In particular, sections of the cherry blossom path originally used as roadways will be temporarily closed to pedestrians to allow visitors to freely stroll and enjoy an outing, and landscape lighting will be installed to create a walking path that sparkles beautifully even at night.
