Since 2005, Anyang City has been transforming the entire city into an open-air art museum by installing public art works in the city's beautiful forests, streams, everyday living spaces, and roadsides through the Anyang Public Art Project (APAP). This is a tour program where participants walk through Anyang Art Park, the beautiful forests and streams of the Pyeongchon area, and urban and everyday parks with an art docent to appreciate public art works from the 1st through 7th editions of APAP, which began in 2005. It conveys stories of various public art works—including fine art, sculpture, architecture, design, and performance—that embody Anyang's history and urban culture.
