2026 Geumnam-ro Car-Free Street 'Let's Walk'

'Geotjaing' combines the local dialect with the present continuous tense 'ing' to signify the idea of enjoying a walk along Geumnam-ro together. In line with Gwangju's declaration of transition to a 'Dae-Ja-Bo City' (Public Transport, Bicycle, and Pedestrian), this event aims to overcome the climate crisis and create a street where rest and communication harmonize within the city center, including the revitalization of large posters. In 2026, the event will be held on the first Saturday of every month from April to November, providing an environment where citizens can walk freely while featuring various experiential programs and cultural performances.
