*The food details below are from the previous year (2025); the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.* Celebrating its 28th anniversary this year, the 2026 Mungyeong Tea Bowl Festival is one of Korea's representative festivals, blending the depth of tradition with modern sensibilities. It will take place spectacularly for ten days, from May 1 to May 10, 2026, at the Mungyeong Saejae Open Set, which preserves breathtaking natural scenery. Mungyeong pottery insists on using traditional wood-fired kilns (Mangdaengi kilns) rather than artificial techniques, and is born in flames exceeding 1,300°C. Possessing a rustic yet natural beauty, these tea bowls are overflowing with charm that purifies the mind of the one who uses them. In particular, this year's festival aims to evolve beyond a mere viewing event into a stay-type festival where visitors can enjoy themselves together, by significantly strengthening diverse participatory content targeting the "MZ generation" and "family visitors."
