Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival

The Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, which has been held since 2005, is Seoul's representative spring festival, taking place every April along the cherry blossom road of Yeouiseo-ro and in the area of Hangang Park. Every year, when the warm spring air is felt, approximately 1,886 cherry trees and over 80,000 spring flowers of 13 different species—including azaleas, forsythias, and rhododendrons—bloom in full, painting Yeouido in vibrant colors. During the festival, various programs and spaces line the cherry blossom road of Yeouiseo-ro. Colorful street arts, such as circus performances and street theater, are performed along the Spring Flower Garden, and photo zones are set up throughout the area for visitors to take pictures against the backdrop of the spring scenery. The Spring Flower Stage hosts diverse programs including stage performances, DJ sets, and movie screenings, while the Art Cube showcases works by local artists from Yeongdeungpo-gu. Additionally, various famous restaurants from not only Yeongdeungpo-gu but also across the country participate in the food and beverage booths, captivating the taste buds of visitors.
