The 40th Icheon Ceramic Festival is a ceramic culture event held in the Icheon Ceramic Art Village and the Sagimakgol area of Icheon, Gyeonggi-do. Icheon is a region that has long preserved a ceramic culture encompassing both tradition and modernity, based on high-quality clay and excellent kiln technology. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, this festival is organized as an occasion to reflect on the history and value of the Icheon Ceramic Festival and to envision the future direction of ceramic culture. During the festival, ceramic artists and visitors will mingle to share the artistic significance of ceramics, and can directly experience the pottery production process through various hands-on programs, such as pottery wheel experiences and writing wishes on large ceramics. Furthermore, a wide range of exhibitions and sales will take place, ranging from traditional ceramics to modern design works. The festival also expands opportunities for cultural and artistic exchange through related programs, including academic seminars, ceramic competitions, and performances. With the active participation of local ceramic artists and residents, the event aims to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and widely promote the excellence of Icheon's ceramic culture both domestically and internationally.
