This is a historical and cultural festival that commemorates the victory of the Battle of Haengju, one of the three major battles of the Imjin War, and inherits and reinterprets in a modern way the spirit of victory of the patriotic martyrs achieved through the voluntary participation and sacrifice of Commander-in-Chief Kwon Yul (1537-1599) and the people. Every spring, at the historical site of the Battle of Haengju, Haengju Fortress, and the Haengju Fortress History Park, which offers a beautiful view of the Han River, the festival showcases representative programs such as the Battle of Haengju Stone Throwing Battle (National Gourd-Breaking Contest), drone performances and water fireworks on the Han River, and the musical *Battle of Haengju*, as well as programs that preserve tradition, such as the Gorye and Gilnori, and various other performances, exhibitions, experiences, and participatory programs.
